”First Invasion: The War Of 1812” (2004)

It is probably the first documentary movie in which I didn't defest American culture or nation.
Brilliant times of line infantry and line ships! Europe had fought unwearied various wars for 20 years, England's army is hardened by battles, navy is the strongest in the world, but America decleared the war to England because they were dissapointed by commercial restrictions, capture of sailors by British navy and that they help Indians in their war against America... War had lasted for 3 years, in it White House was burned down, 3 major battled were fought. In the first one Americans heavilly lost and English burned down the White House, in the second Americans stood strong against English in they stronghold near Baltimore and in the third near New Orlean they totally crushed English army.
Third battle was special in that case, that it was fought after peace treaty, after two weeks. News about the peace returned into America after two months. Three moajor English generols were killed, ~2000 English were dead, wounded or missing, while in America side this number was just ~50.
Of course, this war is a sand box, compeared with Napoleonic wars in Europe, but movie is for sure right.

Nuostabiausi linijinių psėtininkų ir linijinių laivų laikai! Europa jau 20 metų nepailstamai kariauja, Anglijos kariuomenė užgrūdinta mūšių, laivynas galingiausias pasaulyje, bet Amerika nepakęsdama prekybinių santykių su Anglija, kad Anglija grobia Amerikos jūreivius ir remia indėnus kovoje su amerikonais ir t.t., paskelbė karą Anglijai. Karas truko trejus metus, per jį sudeginti Baltieji rūmai, kovoti trys didesni mūšiai, kurių viename anglai nušlavė amerikonus ir suniokojo Vašingtoną, antrame amerikonai atsilaikė tvirtovėje prie Baltimorės ir trečiame prie Niu Orleano visiškai sutriuškino anglų puolimą.
Trečias ypatingas tuo, kad vyko jau pasirašius taiką, maždaug po poros saivaičių, o žinia apie taiką Vašingtoną pasiekė po poros mėnesių. Trys didžiausi anglų generolai žuvo, anglų nužudyta, sužeista ar dingę ~2000, amerikonų ~50.
Žinoma, palyginus su Napoleono karais Europoje, čia smėlio dėžė, bet filmas tikrai teisingas :)
