”Discovery Science Understanding Weather”

Quite an interesting movie about meteorology. Ir was nice to hear / remember history: in 17th century Torricelli developed a barometer, in 18th Fahrenheit and Celsius created thermometer. The first real weather observations and forecasts began in the era of telegraph - 19th century. An interesting speach about the formation of a tornado, about people who hunt them: driving and searching them to get a chance to collect data about them.
Disadvantage is that, without exception, they talk only about America. Maybe outside America really nothing exists? :)

Ganėtinai įdomi laida apie meteorologiją. Smagu buvo išgirsti/prisiminti istoriją: 17 amžiui Torricelli sukūrė barometrą, 18 amžiui Fahrenheit ir Celsius termometro sukūrimas. Pirmieji realūs oro stebėjimai ir spėjimai prasidėjo sukūrus telegrafą – 19 amžiui. Įdomiai pasakoja apie tornadų susidarymą, juos medžiojančius žmones – važinėjančius ir sekančius juos, renkančius informaciją.
Trūkumas, kad be išimties kalba vien tik apie Ameriką. O gal be Amerikos iš tiesų niekas daugiau neegzistuoja? :)
