The film is talking about Battle of Rorke's Drift which followed the battle of Isandlwana. Here 140 British ztood against 4000 Zulus. Zulus war dances, clothing, battle stages, there still live line tactics. good dose of History, of course with a number of inaccuracies. Clearly, I do not know the military history of that era, but apparently 50-year-old film was not completely authentic.
Was a very strange scene where Zulus calculated British firearms power - the army is standing and counting how many Zulus are pick off by the British per unit time.
By the way, the battle losses: British 17 killed, 15 wounded: Zulus 350 killed, 500 wounded.

Gerai žinoma, kad 1879 britai pralošė Isandlwana mūšį. 2000 britų gynėsi prieš 20 000 zulų. Kad ir kokie europiečiai pavojingi savo ginklais, taktinės klaidos lėmė, kad visi britai buvo išžudyti.
Filmas kalba apie iškart po šio mūšio sekusį Rorke's Drift mūšį. Jame 140 britų atsilaikė prieš 4000 zulų. Zulų karo šokiai, aprangos, mūšio eiga, vis dar gyva linijinė taktika. Gera istorijos dozė, žinoma su nemažai netikslumų. Aišku, pats to laikmečio karo istorijos nežinau, bet matyt 50 metų senumo filmas nebuvo pilnai autentiškas.
Labai keista buvo scena, kai zulai skaičiavo britų šaunamąją galią – armijai stovint vietoje skaičiavo, kiek per laiko vienetą britai iššaudo zulų.
Beje, to mūšio nuostoliai: britų 17 žuvusių, 15 sužeistų: zulų 350 žuvusių, 500 sužeistų.
